Sydney, Australia – Thursday 5 February, 2026
Firmus Technologies today announced a strategic equity investment from Maas Group Holdings (ASX:MGH). The equity investment aligns Maas with Firmus’ long-term strategy of not relying on overseas manufacturing and instead building an Australian supply chain for AI infrastructure, spanning advanced manufacturing, construction and sovereign electrification.

Over the past six months, Firmus has raised more than $800 million in equity and committed more than $300 million to its Australian AI factory supply chain, including long-term partnerships with Benmax (mechanical systems) and Maas subsidiary- JLE (electrical and electrification systems).
Through Benmax and Maas, Firmus has established sovereign Australian manufacturing capacity for the core components required to build AI facilities, including cooling, power and integrated system modules. This capacity is designed to support up to 1.5GW of AI facility delivery per year while creating up to 400 highly skilled advanced manufacturing jobs.
“Firmus’ co-designed AI Factory platform is being produced at scale in Australia,” said Tim Rosenfield, co-CEO of Firmus. “We work closely with global technology partners to define the performance, cooling and energy requirements of AI infrastructure from the ground up. Those designs are then manufactured and delivered through Australian industrial partnerships such as Maas and Benmax, who build the physical systems at scale.”
The Hon Dr Andrew Charlton MP, Assistant Minister for Science, Technology and the Digital Economy, said: “By building advanced manufacturing capability here in Australia and supporting delivery of digital infrastructure, projects like this strengthen our industrial base, create skilled jobs and position Australia to compete in the global economy. These investments are a positive step towards building Australia's own supply chain to support the growth of AI through homegrown engineering innovation.”
“We’ve worked closely with Firmus for five years to build this partnership,” said Scott Polsen, Managing Director of Benmax. “We’re now ramping up production capacity across both facilities to deliver AI Factory components at industrial scale. That ’s supporting hundreds of long-term jobs in Australia, with many of those roles going to tradespeople who are reskilling into advanced manufacturing.”

Firmus Co-CEO Oliver Curtis said the goal was to create a faster, more reliable model for AI infrastructure delivery:
“By investing early in a sovereign supply chain and partnering with groups like Maas and Benmax we’re removing friction from global delivery and building a platform that can respond to AI demand in real time. This is about turning Australia into a builder of AI infrastructure, not just a host whilst creating hundreds of highly skilled lasting jobs for local community.”
Firmus’ AI Factory warehouses and Project Southgate deployments are under construction across multiple Australian sites, with new capacity coming online through 2026.
